Craving for good korean food?
![]() ![]() ![]() Boy you should try the one at Chinatown Togi Korean Restaurant. It is located along Mosque Street, and you can get there via MRT and it'll take you about 15minutes of walking distance to get to Togi. However so, Togi only opens at 6pm in the evening and it is best if you make reservations before you enjoy some beautiful korean cuisines. The best you should order in a group of 4 would be the Steamboat. The last I went with my boyfriend, we ordered the steamboat thinking it will be small because of the picture, and we were definitely deceived by it. It was HUGE, for 2 that is we had difficulties finishing the steamboat. Plus in it there were loads of seafood like crab, prawns, fish, octopus and korean noodles and maggie mee noodles together with a generous amount of vegetables. The soup was fantastic and the chef offers refill for free!! It was finger licking good, shiok shiok shiok to the maximum! Their side dishes which is free again, is absolutely very 'kai-wei'. DAMN SHIOK. Besides the steamboat, the kimchi-gae which is again very shiok because it is my all time favourite and a must to order is definitely a must for those who loves soup, kimchi, the tinge of spicy-ness it brings. :D Fanstastic. You should also try the kimchi fried rice, BEST I've ever had from a korean restaurant in Singapore. (: SUPER SHIOK. For the norm, and down-to-earth beings you can try their bimbimbap! I'm not a fan of it, but my boyfriend is so it seems really really really good! OH THEY ALSO DO THE BBQ PORK (WU-HUA-ROU) and they will do it for you! Isn't that fanstastic!? So do try it people! It's definitely worth the money and wait. Oh by the way, the ambience of this restaurant is gives you a very humble korean family feel. And the people you will meet are korean businessmen and families, of course there are tonnes of chinese families too. So if you do not wish to make a wasted trip, MAKE A RESERVATION alright? (: PLUS PLUS!! the service there is fantastic, two very lively boss there, both are koreans and it seems to me like a family business so most of the staffs are koreans. The price range of the food starts from 10.90 onwards, the steamboat if I remember correctly was 38.90SGD. SUPER GOOD KOREAN FOOD. GO TRY IT TOMORROW! OR WHENEVER!!! You have to eat even though recession is on!!! |
